Photographer, philosopher, writer and wanderer…
Hi there! My name is Stefania and I’m a blogger, visual story teller and travel companion with a passion for sharing my journeys and my perspective with fellow curious travellers. My trips are infused with culture, beauty and the unexpected thanks to my passion for literature, the arts and esotericism. If you love to walk in the footsteps of illustrious men and women of the past, then we should get talking.
I was born in Italy, but I spent many years in Africa before returning to Europe to continue my work. I changed career path more than once and I have lived many lives. I am basically the odd and queer one in the room, the one no-one can figure out. I have actually been told many times I am totally crazy but I assume it’s always been said in a good way…
I am either out exploring and taking photos or I am locked up in my home studio researching, writing and planning my next chapter.
There are two things I am absolutely passionate about and totally devoted to: beauty and freedom.
With my images and stories I wish to inspire you to explore more and go deeper, to approach travel as a formative experience and ban tourism from your vocabulary, to live more freely, slow down and pay attention. I also hope to infuse strength and courage in all those who desire a different lifestyle, those who feel trapped in a life and profession they don’t love and help them to break free and find their dimension with my upcoming educational workshops and courses, aimed to provide access to the opportunities the internet and social media have opened for us, that allowed me to transition from corporate business to doing what I love, dropping the mask and finding myself again.
Five things you might not know about me:
1. I have two beautiful teenage children and I am a proud single mum - this photo was actually taken by my son.
2. I don’t know what it is to be bored… I have so many interests that I would probably need 50 lives to go through them all.
3. I should have been a Classic scholar. I’ll have to leave that for another life but I am still hopeful on a Phd, some day.
4. I am an Aquarius through and through and I am deep in the study of Astrology at the moment.
5. Part of my heart will always be on the plains of Africa and the other on the highlands of Scotland.
I have collected in the years quite a remarkable number of degrees, qualifications and recognitions, but what I really want you to know about me is that I am perfectly content with a good book on my laps and a cup of tea in my hand or walking the woods with my inseparable doxie, my very best friend and travel companion.
I’d love to get the conversation going. If you do too, join my mailing list below and I will be be visiting you once a month straight in your inbox with a summary of all it’s been going on during the month so you don’t miss anything and so much more.
